It's snowing! No not here in Brittain and places that are having winter. Lucky blighters. The hot weather and my tin shed studio are not conducive to painting. Tried painting in the evening but the bugs which are attracted to the lights get stuck in the paint and the big moths well they trail paint everywhere that it's not supposed to be.
Thinks......Ok I paint oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolours and air brush I think I shall start a new trend and paint by bug. This reminds me of something I think I will share.....
Several years ago I decided to paint a large landscape in oils so after roughing out the painting I painted in the sky and distant ranges. I place the canvas on my drying table and quit for the day after some 9 - 11 hours work. That night a pesky little mouse entered my studio ( a caravan at the time) and walked all over my freshly painted landscape. The next morning Anger, Rage, Shock, Horror.
My painting had mouse footprints and tail trails all over it....2 days later I caught the little critter in a mouse trap. How do I know it was the vandal? why he had a blue and grey tail.
Goodnight.
